Well, I guess I said pretty much everything about our progress right in the photo caption. I’ll assume you didn’t want to read anything complicated this time around and just leave it at that. I’m happy with progress so far. I’m looking forward to taking this one with me to exhibit in my booth at the upcoming Spartan Stampede Rodeo in mid-February. Stay tuned…

Alli and one of her very best friends, Billy
For not the first time, but maybe the last time, I have started a "home business". The difference with this one is that it is one I really enjoy. I've drawn and painted horses since I was (at least) five years old--that's the earliest one that my mother saved.
By the time I entered my teens, Mother had grown a bit tired of the subject and urged me to do something else with my artwork besides horses. I followed her advice and never looked back until three years ago when it occurred to me that people might actually pay for horse portraits. I have had many exhibits of my landscapes, and sold a good number of them--but not enough to provide any kind of steady income.
I'm hoping that if I work hard and market this business well I will be able to delight my customers, make some money, and have a lot of fun doing it.

I enjoy following the progress. It’s amazing how the richness comes alive with every pas. The colour palette is exquisite, I really like the muted and limited colours, but at the same time very rich.
Uh oh!!! I hope you’re not going to be disappointed when I post the next incarnation…the colors are going to become dramatically rich! Won’t say any more for now…nothing like a little suspense every now and then.
