Out with the old, In with the new

Now that two of my portraits have left the “stable” (translation: sold), it’s time to replace them so I still have a full display rack. I’ve started the drawing for Jesse James, a copper-penny chestnut gelding who appears in this instance to be posing as a stallion. He has a quite a regal look to him. I’ve noticed that I placed his eye too high. I don’t know why this is becoming a sort of routine with me, but at least I always see it before it’s too late to change it! Will post a pic as soon as there’s something more exciting than a pencil drawing to see.
