These two ladies are coming along.  I think I’ve finished Jasmine, but I’m going to let the painting sit a couple of days just to make sure. I do that a lot—prop it up where I can unexpectedly encounter it as I walk through the house. I find that suddenly coming upon a painting  helps me evaluate whether or not I need to make any changes. Looking at it constantly rather than intermittently blinds me to any faults. Must have something to do with visual fatigue.

Ginger has another layer of paint on her now, and looks pretty good to me. The color is nice and deep, with the brown glowing warm and rich. I’m going to put in some background and see what happens!
