It was the best day at any show/expo I’ve had since I first conjured the idea of a horse portrait business. I felt much more comfortable chatting up my visitors, and they responded by telling me their stories and profusely complimenting my work. It helped that Sue had her own special display easel, since she was the featured horse on the cover of the winter edition of the Hooved Animal Humane Society’s (HAHS) magazine, “Hoofprints”. Many, many people recognized her portrait and then started to tell me what a great horse she is. Lots of people inquired about price, what kind of reference photos were needed, and how the portraits were created. This kind of genuine interest had been largely missing in all my previous outings. Here’s hoping it leads to some commissions!
Charm, showing off the only braids that will stay in her endless mane.
