Longmeadow–Round 2

Longmeadow gets another layer

Longmeadow gets another layer, brightens up a bit, and will (hopefully) get foggier sometime during Round 3...

It probably doesn’t look like there’s much difference between version 1 and version 2, but if you could see it in person you would notice a definite deepening of the colors, and be able to see some detail in the grassy areas where I scratched off the paint to give the idea of some tall weeds in the grass.

Misty atmospheres may come easily to somebody else, but I can see that I’m going to have to play with it for a while until I get it where I like it. It would be a lot easier in watercolor, but I think an oil painting presents itself a little better for an auction-type event. Anyhow, I’m sure I’ll get what I want, it just may take a little more fussing around than I usually do!
