Junior is halfway around the jump course

Junior Mint -- halfway there!

Junior Mint -- halfway there!

Ah, progress is such a wonderful thing–especially for me because every painting I do is a new experience, no matter how many I have done in the past! You’d think I would have developed a reliable formula by now, but I think the suspense has something to do with the very painting technique I use. I just never know how things are going to turn out when I’m applying several layers of paint–Junior has probably five transparent coats on him now, and most likely has about five more (at least) to go. Fortunately each layer dries relatively fast, so I can do 2-3 a day if I plan ahead.
