No ink this time. I usually don’t do ink when I paint a “scene” as opposed to a head-shot portrait. I guess the complicated answer is that the ink doesn’t lend itself to smaller size subjects on a rough canvas as well as it does to large expanses. The simple answer is more like “it jus’ ain’t right”. At least that’s how I see it.
And what about those COLORS?? I know, the horse is orange and the pony is blue and the leaves are supposed to be red. But how about those background TREES?? They turned out great! Because they’re finished. Had to finish them first if I was going to put the leaves and fence over them. So there’s hope that the other colors will be just as great when they have their requisite layers on them, too.
Gotta love that pony’s silly little topknot, too!
The trees are spectacular!!!!!!
