Only a mom’s love…

Mom Charm and filly Reva, just too cute!

Finished this one at a recent horse show. I just love these two and am glad I have so many photos of them from which to choose. The only real challenge here is adding an appropriate background when the original photo lacks something of interest. The horses were photographed in a paddock which on one side had a nice bank of trees, but in this instance they were standing next to a run-in shed. So I have lots of opportunities to be creative.

Finally got back to work on Roz’s barn. I did the original preliminary wash on that painting back in June, so I’m sure nobody remembers it. Not to worry, progress will be posted soon. I am absolutely loving the way it’s turning out so far. Should be careful, though–love can turn to disdain in an instant in the life of a painter. That’s when you get the challenge of pulling the whole thing back from the brink. Very exciting, but not so sure I’m up for total excitement right at this moment!
