Remember that commission I couldn’t post?

Bet this looks a lot more like a horse now that you can see the real thing.

“Shahi”, finished portrait on Aquabord™

The client who commissioned this portrait to give as a gift to a friend finally gave it (she was having trouble parting with it!) so now I can show you what it really looks like.

I was really happy that it turned out so well, since it was the first time I had attempted a close-up head shot on the Aquabord™. It’s easier to fudge when each part of the figure is a lot smaller–not so much detail to watch out for. Real-world confirmation of the likeness was when more than one person who actually knew this horse said it looked just like him. Yay!

  1. Nice capture on the eye with this one Alli (even though I don’t know the horse – it says a lot). So glad to hear the gift was well-received.
