Procrastination at bay, for now

The eye was, once again, the critical element in this portrait commission. I think I got it.

Just finished this one–only 3 days later– in spite of spending most of the last two days fighting with Christmas decorations. My least favorite situation with Christmas lights: I plug in the strings, check that all the lights actually light, replace dead bulbs, then install them on approximately 40 feet of porch roof. Flip the switch and voilâ! Two of the strings have dead sections. Check all the bulbs again. One section comes to life, the other refuses. Check all bulbs again, making sure each has no broken tiny wires where they insert into the socket. No luck. Curse cheap Chinese product. Leave lights as is and dedicate self to finishing painting!
