No more a secret

A triangle theme this time. Didn't know I could do this!

Here’s the disguised version, in case you missed it the first time.

And here's the real thing, Windstorm and her colt, Reugan.

And here’s the real thing, Windstorm and her colt, Reugan.

Windstorm died a couple of months ago, and this painting was commissioned as a commemorative gift for her owner. Several friends chipped in to make the painting possible. This was a new experiment for me, oil painting on Claybord™, as opposed to my usual watercolor on Aquabord™. The neat thing about the Claybord™ is that it came affixed to a nice wood box-type frame which makes it easy to hang and also gives it a nice offset from the wall, but…I had to get used to the paint taking a long time to dry before I could varnish it–very similar to the situation with the wood stall plaque a few weeks ago. So at least now I know how much lead time to quote if I do one of this type again.
