After a spell of uncertainty I managed to come up with a plan for my second move. This is it. It will not be final. There will be at least a third iteration, maybe more. But for now, feel free to fulfill your role as amateur (or even professional) art critics.
I’m expecting a few comments along the lines of “It’s great the way it is”. If you have followed this blog for long, you know I never let that get in the way of teetering on disaster. Stay close…
For not the first time, but maybe the last time, I have started a "home business". The difference with this one is that it is one I really enjoy. I've drawn and painted horses since I was (at least) five years old--that's the earliest one that my mother saved.
By the time I entered my teens, Mother had grown a bit tired of the subject and urged me to do something else with my artwork besides horses. I followed her advice and never looked back until ten years ago when it occurred to me that people might actually pay for horse portraits. I have had many exhibits of my landscapes, and sold a good number of them--but not enough to provide any kind of steady income.
I'm hoping that if I work hard and market this business well I will be able to delight my customers, make some money, and have a lot of fun doing it.

I really enjoy seeing how these paintings develop. I like that dark green shadow on the right in particular. Carry on!

Looks like it’s going in a good direction! The darker purple in the background remind me of shadows on water.

Ah, too late! It’s finished now but I don’t have a pic of it yet. It isn’t radically changed, it just needed something to tie all the pieces together. You’ll see soon.
